Love this advice for Democratic campaign talking points in Texas: 1. Adam Hoffman raped a boy for 3 years; and is now free after 30 days thanks to Ken Paxton.

2. Donald Trump has broken the law every day since December 19 2025 to protect the child rapists in the Epstein Files.

3. “Together, they protect men who put their d*cks inside children. #GOP2026.”

I live in the most corrupt county, in the reddest part of Texas. There are no arguments that resonate with the cult. As much as I love what and who Talarico stands for and believe he is the most amazing human, he will probably lose. But he will make a great president someday

Bullies are going to bully. But we know that bullies’ actions display their insecurities and jealousies. In politics, they sling insults because their platform is deplorable.

Christopher Wood's avatar

Reports are that Trump was such a pussy that he couldn't personally bully when growing up in Jamaica Estates in Queens, New York.

So, he hired a kid from the "other side of the tracks" to do the actual physical bullying.

Patricia Richter's avatar

No. I am now pushing back on this wherever I see it. Women's body parts are not to be used as insults. Full stop.👎

We need more public learning of the research on bullying behaviors.

I live in Texas and couldn’t agree more! My dream is that enough folks get out and vote Democratic that our Senator, Governor, Lt. Governor all the way down to dog catcher will be Democrats; I know it’s unlikely to happen. But this race will certainly show us where folks true beliefs lie, if we didn’t already know!

Christopher Wood's avatar

Ada,

There is a tell for the ReTrumplicans

Why is it that only 8% of the registered Republicans bothered to vote in the run-off election?

Why is it that in some Rio Grande Valley counties, there were almost 100x Democrats voting than Republicans?

I feel good, but that may be the hopium rising.

TerrapinZ's avatar

Definitely hopium. Rebs outnumbered Dems in blue Harris County by almost 50%. All-told the turnout was abysmal on both sides. Less than 10% total, in HC. This is extremely alarming for the Dem side, as we should all be hyper-motivated by the existential political emergency we all recognize. That any proggressive or centrist Dem is still not paying attention, not focused, and still not voting - is incredible and deplorable. We must all push GOTV right through the entire Summer non-stop. No brakes.

Well, then, let's make it happen! Try these:

Why are White, full-tilt Maga followers always overweight and SO deeply unattractive?

Com'om Steph,

Some allegedly have a full set of teeth

Lovely metaphorical language!

Tara Aders's avatar

Yeah, those pussies are such pussies

Patricia Richter's avatar

Nope. See my previous comment. Women's body parts are not to be used as insults. 👎

Tara Aders's avatar

I agree - I was echoing the metaphorical language

You have outdone yourself this time. There are so many quotable lines in this single post that I couldn't stop laughing until I realized that this is fact, not fiction, and though it is hard to believe the gullibility and utter stupidity of people who get brain ache when they have to think for themselves it seems to be the state of not only Texas but a goodly share of other states in the south especially. At least as far as we know Cornyn did not break laws but he keeps selling his soul--he has now stated that he will fully support Paxton.

David Graf's avatar

Talarico 's theological views won't pass muster with many conservative Christians. They'll prefer the crook to someone they consider to be an apostate.

PLawson85's avatar

Actually No. He’s starting to win over Conservative voters. There’s a Clip of a Rural WHITE Female that lives outside of Grosebeck, saying the A.I. data centers are Enough to get her and community to vote Democrat.

David Graf's avatar

Time will tell.

Veronica's avatar

Good one! Yeah, Paxton is a real tool--and that's putting it mildly.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I must get back to calling Texas voters. . .

Janet Hill's avatar

Clearly a fitting successor to Trump in terms of corruption

David's avatar

James Talarico, future president material. kp, future sex registry list material.

Great summary of the candidates, @John Fugelsang

My fav quote: Republicans calling Talarico dangerous while nominating Ken Paxton is like warning people about the health risks of blueberries while smoking meth through a leaf blower.

OG Karen's avatar

Mine too!!! It is a beautiful analogy!

I am worried that Talarico might be too nice to win.

He does appear to be a nice guy. Just watch videos of him gently deconstructing his political opponents. His logical line of questioning is flawless! The most memorable are the ones about furries and passing the 10 Commandments on the Sabbath, which contradicts the commandment to rest on the Sabbath.

Rick A.'s avatar

Kim and cig: Watch the video where Talarico eviscerates the billionaires who run Texas and their bought and paid for politicians like our governor. Talarico is nice but he tells it like it is—-unless you are a brain dead MAGA drone who does not care about truth and decency. I do fear this will be the ugliest and most vicious and most lie filled campaign ever….and I mean ever.

cig (TX)'s avatar

Absolutely it will be ugly. They are ugliest when they know their lies are so outrageous as to be unbelievable.

PLawson85's avatar

Gov Wheels is Sounding the Alarm. The Texas GOP is watching the Red Wall crumble. And he is telling Donors “It very well may likely collapse”.

Veronica's avatar

To paraphrase Talarico, if the worst they can say about him is that he is a vegan (note: he isn't), then his chances are pretty good!

David's avatar

Understandable with today's media climate but, no worries, Mr. Talarico's nice is a well honed weapon of truth.

Christopher Wood's avatar

His "AdMen" seem to be young and on-it.

Too nice to the "TV audience" works great --- hardcore Paxton as a criminal in social media lays the reality out.

This is absolute gold.

LOVE the ad campaign - absolutely perfect! BTW, I want to know what the wife meant by "biblical reasons."
